Family Care Teams

This team is a dedicated group of volunteers who come alongside foster, adoptive, or at-risk families for a full year to offer support and assistance, ultimately contributing to the stability and well-being of the family.

Explore these important roles within this vital team:

  • Team Leader - You’ll serve as the primary point of contact between caregivers and the volunteer team. This is a one-year commitment consisting of regular communication and coordination with fellow volunteers through the "Care Calendar" to help provide consistent support to foster families. Your dedication of just 1-2 hours per week goes a long way in assisting these families to thrive.
  • Meal Provider - You are a compassionate individual who believes in supporting foster families by offering the gift of a home-cooked or store-bought meal at least once a month.
  • Family Helper - As a Family Helper, your commitment is simple and impactful. You tailor your gifts and skills to meet the foster family's needs, whether assisting as a "mommy's helper" or helping with tasks like cleaning. Your monthly support ensures the family's well-being and adds up to meaningful and life-changing care.
  • Cleared Childcare Provider (For 4kids foster homes only) - To ensure the safety of every child, in addition to the Christ Fellowship volunteer onboarding process, you'll complete a level 2 DCF background check. Your commitment involves providing babysitting services to our 4Kids licensed foster homes at least once a month, reflecting your personal dedication to making a difference in kid's lives.

  • Background checks are required for all applicants 18 years and older.
  • We ask anyone who has not completed The Journey to make it a goal to complete it as part of your onboarding and training experience. You can register for The Journey by texting “Journey” to 441-441.
